SIL Translator’s Notes on 2 Kings 10:16

10:16a saying, “Come with me

Then Jehu said to him, “Come (sing.) along with me.

-or-

Jehu told Jehonadab, “Let us (incl.) go together

10:16b and see my zeal for the LORD!”

See how zealous/jealous I am for the honor of Yahweh.”

-or-

so you (sing.) can see how I am eager to support/honor Yahweh.”

10:16c So he had him ride in his chariot.

Then he made/let Jehonadab ride with him in his chariot.

-or-

So both of them rode together in Jehu’s chariot.
