Section 8:7-15

Hazael killed his master Ben-Hadad the king of Aram

8:7a Then Elisha came to Damascus

⌊Some time later,⌋ Elisha went to ⌊the city of⌋ Damascus ⌊in Aram⌋ .

⌊One day,⌋ ⌊the prophet⌋ Elisha traveled to Damascus, ⌊the capital of Aram/Syria⌋ .

8:7b while Ben-hadad king of Aram was sick,

⌊At this time⌋ Ben-Hadad the king of Aram was sick.

-or-

⌊At that time,⌋ the king of Aram/Syria ⌊called⌋ Ben-Hadad was ⌊very/seriously⌋ sick.

8:7c and the king was told, “The man of God has come here.”

Someone told the king, “The prophet has come ⌊to our city⌋ .”

The king heard that Elisha had traveled ⌊to Damascus⌋ .
