1:8a “He was a hairy man,” they answered,
They replied, “He had a hair/hairy ⌊cloak/covering⌋

They answered, “He was wearing something ⌊made⌋ from hair.

They answered that he had worn ⌊a cloak/mantle⌋ ⌊woven⌋ from ⌊animal⌋ hair,
1:8b “with a leather belt around his waist.”
and a leather belt around his hips.”

There was a belt made from animal skin/hide around his hips/waist.”

and ⌊he had tied⌋ a belt made from animal skin around his waist.
1:8c “It was Elijah the Tishbite,” said the king.
The king said, “He was Elijah from the city of Tishbe!”

King ⌊Ahaziah⌋ exclaimed, “That ⌊man⌋ must have been Elijah from Tishbe ⌊city⌋ !”

The king immediately realized that ⌊they had met⌋ Elijah ⌊the prophet⌋ from Tishbe.
