1:7a The king asked them,

The king asked his messengers,

1:7b “What sort of man came up

“What did that man look like,

what the person/man looked like

to describe the man

1:7c to meet you and spoke these words to you?”

the man who came to meet you (plur.) and gave/told you this message?”

who had come to meet them with this message.

who had met them and told them what to say to him.

Ahaziah asked them what the man who had come to give them the message looked like.
