17:21a Then he stretched himself out over the child three times and cried out to the LORD,

Then Elijah lay down full length over the boy three times. Each time he called out to Yahweh. He said,

Then three times Elijah lay/placed his own body over ⌊the body of⌋ the boy. He prayed to Yahweh for help, saying,

17:21b “O LORD my God, please let this boy’s life return to him!”

“O Yahweh my God, please allow (sing) the boy’s life/soul to return to him.”
-or-
“Yahweh, my God, I beg you to cause (sing) this boy to live again.”
