18:32a And when the chariot commanders saw

When the chariot commanders realized

They recognized Jehoshaphat

18:32b that he was not the king of Israel,

that he was not Ahab the king of Israel,

and knew he was not the king of Israel

18:32c they turned back from pursuing him.

they stopped attacking him.

so they stopped chasing him.
