The Hebrew and Greek that is translated as “exalt oneself,” “puffed up,” “proud, “haughty” or similar in English is translated in the Catholic Mandarin Chinese Sigao version with a historical Chinese idiom: wàng zì zūn dà (妄自尊大) or “ridiculous self-importance (lit. “presumptuously exalt”).” (Source: Toshikazu S.
