Translation commentary on Susanna 1:30

If integrated into the book of Daniel: 13.30.

So they sent for her: Revised Standard Version is in a minority by beginning this verse with this clause. In most versions, such as Good News Translation (“When she was called”), this clause is at the end of verse 29. We may also express the clause in the active voice with “When they called Susanna.”

Her children: According to the Septuagint text, Susanna has four children.

All her kindred: Good News Translation has “all her other relatives” (similarly Contemporary English Version).
