Good News Translation has a paragraph break here, but it is better to keep verses 11-14 as one paragraph.

Better is the wickedness of a man than a woman who does good; and it is a woman who brings shame and disgrace: This is an extreme statement, but let’s look at what it says literally, which is “Better a man’s wickedness than a good-doing woman, and a woman acting shamefully [is] unto disgrace.” If this is intended not as a statement of general truth but as a practical observation about what might lead to a man’s disgrace, it could be saying “The evil [or, harm] that a man can cause is better than a woman trying to do good, because if a woman acts shamefully it can lead to your own disgrace.” A man might lead you to poverty or cause you physical harm, but a woman can disgrace you, and disgrace is worse. Perhaps we could translate:

• I would rather deal with any man than with the most well-intentioned woman, because a man will not disgrace you like a woman can when she acts shamefully.

Contemporary English Version has a helpful model:

• Women are the cause
of so much disgrace,
that the wrong things men do
are better than the good
done by women.
