Translation commentary on Nehemiah 11:32

The names of towns continue here in straight citation without any conjunction until “Ono” in verse 35. Revised Standard Version and Good News Translation faithfully reflect the Hebrew syntax, and most other translations do likewise.

The villages Anathoth, Nob and Ananiah are on the main approach route to Jerusalem and are listed in order from north to south. They are within five kilometers (three miles) of Jerusalem.
