Translation commentary on Ezra 10:24

Singers: See Ezra 2.41. Some versions add “Zaccur” as a second singer on the basis of 1 Esdras 9.24 even though this name is not in the Hebrew text here (so New Jerusalem Bible, Osty-Trinquet). Hebrew Old Testament Text Project supports only the name Eliashib as in MT with a C rating, and this is recommended for translators.

Gatekeepers: See Ezra 2.42.
