Translation commentary on Ezekiel 27:2

Now you, son of man, raise a lamentation over Tyre: Once again God addresses Ezekiel. Here he tells him to sing a funeral song about Tyre. For son of man (International Children’s Bible “Human being”), For lamentation see 19.1. Raise a lamentation over Tyre may be rendered “sing a funeral song for [the city of] Tyre” (Good News Translation, Contemporary English Version, New Living Translation, New Century Version).
