18:7a The king of Israel answered,

The king of Israel replied to Jehoshaphat,
-or-
King Ahab replied,

18:7b “There is still one man who can ask the LORD,

“There is still one prophet of Yahweh here through whom we can consult Yahweh.
-or-
“Yes, there is still a prophet of Yahweh here. He can help us to know the will of Yahweh.

18:7c but I hate him because he never prophesies anything good for me, but only bad.

But I hate him because he never receives good message from Yahweh for me. His messages are always bad.
-or-
But I despise him because he is always against me. He never has good news for me but only bad news.

18:7d He is Micaiah son of Imlah.”

He is Imlah’s son Micaiah.”
-or-
His name is Micaiah the son of Imlah.”

18:7e “The king should not say that!” Jehoshaphat replied.

Jehoshaphat replied, “You should not say things like that.”
-or-
King Jehoshaphat answered, “King Ahab, you should not say such bad words ⌊about a prophet of Yahweh⌋.”
