1:15a The king made silver and gold as common in Jerusalem as stones,

While King Solomon ⌊was the king⌋ in Jerusalem, silver and gold became as common as stones,
-or-
⌊During the time of⌋ Solomon’s reign in Jerusalem, he had so much silver and gold that it was as plentiful as stones.

1:15b and cedar as abundant as sycamore in the foothills.

and cedarwood became as common as the sycamore trees in the foothills.
-or-
And ⌊the highly valued⌋ cedarwood was as plentiful as the sycamore trees in the lowlands.
