The Hebrew, Latin, Ge’ez, and Greek that is translated as “bronze” in English is translated in Newari as “bell-metal,” since bells are made of bronze in Nepal (source: Newari Back Translation).

I weighed and gave to them …: Good News Bible says “This is what I gave them…,” which is an adequate way to begin this verse. The preceding verse has already established that Ezra weighed and gave the priests these treasures.
Six hundred and fifty talents of silver, and silver vessels worth a hundred talents, and a hundred talents of gold, and twenty golden bowls, and twelve bronze vessels of fine bronze that glittered like gold: This is the list of treasures given to the priests and Levites. Translators may present this information in paragraph form (so Revised Standard Version, Contemporary English Version) or in list form (so Good News Bible). For talents see the comments on 1 Esd 1.35-36. Six hundred and fifty talents of silver is equivalent to about 22,100 kilograms (48,750 pounds) of silver. Silver vessels worth a hundred talents refers to silver utensils weighing about 3,400 kilograms (7,500 pounds). A hundred talents of gold is equivalent to about 3,400 kilograms (7,500 pounds) of gold. Golden bowls renders one Greek word that refers to basins made out of gold. Such basins were used in Jewish worship for a variety of purposes, such as holding blood to be sprinkled or holding parts of sacrificial animals. Bronze is an alloy of copper and tin, making the metal much harder than copper. It can be polished so that it has a bright smooth surface.
An alternative model for verses 56-57 is:
• 56 Here is what I gave them [or, handed over to them]:
22,000 kilograms [or, 25 tons] of silver
3,400 kilograms [or, 7,500 pounds] of silver utensils
3,400 kilograms [or, 7,500 pounds] of gold
57 20 bowls made of gold
12 bowls made of fine [or, high quality] bronze that shone like gold
