Now therefore marks a transition to the next section. It does not relate the previous passage to this one, so Good News Translation finds it more natural to drop it.

Thus says the LORD: See 2.2.

In Hebrew you is plural, but it is singular in the Septuagint. Perhaps the plural form refers to the companions of Jeremiah mentioned earlier in the chapter. That could be expressed by “you all.” However, Good News Translation understands the term to refer to all the people (“the people are saying”). Bible en français courant has used the singular form with “you [singular] … as well as the others.” Either rendering would be acceptable.

Good News Translation has restructured the sentence in a useful way with “… the people are saying … Now listen to what else I have to say.”
