Both prophet and priest are ungodly: For prophet see 1.5, and for priest see 1.1. For indictments of the prophets and priests, see 6.13. Note that the singular forms prophet and priest are used in a general sense here, representing the prophets and priests. Ungodly can be translated as “disobey God,” “defy God,” or “disrespect God.” The first line of the verse can be expressed as “Neither the prophets nor the priests show any respect for God.”

Even in my house: The reference is to the temple (Good News Translation “in the Temple itself”; New International Version “even in my temple”). Good News Translation moves this phrase to the end of the verse, since that makes a more natural sentence in English.

I have found their wickedness has the sense of “I have seen the wicked things they do,” which is the basis for Good News Translation “I have caught them doing evil.”
