Afterwards she bore a daughter, and called her name Dinah: Afterwards is probably to be understood as “After Zebulun” or “After she gave birth to Zebulun.” There is no indication of any time interval. Speiser translates “lastly.” Translators will note that no explanation of the name Dinah is given. This is the only recorded daughter born to Jacob.
