Passing through is literally “I go through,” meaning “I intend to go through.”
Macedonia: in many languages one will need to make it clear that Macedonia is a province, that is, a subdivision of a country or territory. In this case Macedonia was a Roman province that corresponded to the northern part of Greece today.
