Exegesis:

kai egeneto ‘and it happened,’ cf. on 1.8.

en tō eulogein auton autous lit. ‘during his blessing of them.’

diestē ap’ autōn ‘he parted from them,’ without indication of direction. For diistamai cf. on 22.59.

anephereto eis ton ouranon ‘he was carried up into heaven,’ if retained in the text, supplements the preceding clause as to direction and destination. anapherō.

Translation:

For he parted from them cf. on 9.33.

Was carried up into heaven, or, if no passive form is available, ‘ascended/went up to heaven’ (Tae’ 1933), ‘rose above’ (Zarma). Heaven, here used in the sense of ‘God’s abode,’ cf. on 2.15.
