Exegesis:
hostis ou bastazei ton stauron heautou ‘whoever does not carry his own cross.’ For bastazō cf. on 7.14; for stauros cf. on 9.23.
kai erchetai opisō mou ‘and (does not) come after me.’ erchesthai opisō is virtually equivalent to akolouthein, cf. 9.23.
