9:18a but you have risen up against my father’s house this day

But today you have rebelled against his family.

But today you have abandoned my father’s family.

9:18b and killed his seventy sons on a single stone,

You killed his seventy sons, all on the same rock.

You killed his seventy (70) sons, all on the same rock.

9:18c and you have made Abimelech, the son of his maidservant, king over the leaders of Shechem

You made Abimelek, the son of his servant girl, king of the people of Shechem.

Then you proclaimed Abimelek to be king of Shechem town. ⌊This Abimelek⌋ was the son that my father had by his slave woman.

9:18d because he is your brother—

You did that because he is one of your relatives.

You did this because his mother is your sister.
