Gideon selected three hundred fighting men

7:1a Early in the morning Jerubbaal (that is, Gideon) and all the men with him

The next morning, Jerub-Baal, which was another name for Gideon, and all his troops

Gideon, also called Jerub-Baal, got up early in the morning with his army.

7:1b camped beside the spring of Harod.

camped near the spring of Harod.

They camped at Harod Spring.

7:1c And the camp of Midian was north of them

The army of the Midian people was north of them

7:1d in the valley near the hill of Moreh.

in the valley at the foot of the hill of Moreh.
