4:6a She summoned Barak son of Abinoam from Kedesh in Naphtali

Deborah summoned Barak, son of Abinoam. He was from the town of Kedesh in the territory of the clan of Naphtali.

⌊One day⌋ Deborah called for Barak the son of Abinoam to come see her. He came from Kedesh town where the descendants of Naphtali lived.

4:6b and said to him, “Surely the LORD, the God of Israel, is commanding you:

She said, “This is what Yahweh the God of Israel is commanding you:

She gave him this message from Yahweh the God of Israel.

4:6c ‘Go and march to Mount Tabor, taking with you ten thousand men of Naphtali and Zebulun.

‘Go and recruit ten thousand men from the clans of Naphtali and Zebulun and take them to Mount Tabor.

“Get ten thousand (10,000) men from among the descendants of Naphtali and Zebulun and bring them to Tabor Mountain.
