19:10a But the man was unwilling to spend the night. He got up and departed,

But the Levite did not want to stay another night, so he left.

But ⌊this time⌋ the man did not agree to stay. Instead he left

19:10b and arrived opposite Jebus (that is, Jerusalem), with his two saddled donkeys and his concubine.

He traveled to a place near Jebus, which ⌊people now call⌋ Jerusalem. He had his slave wife and his two saddled donkeys with him.

in the direction of Jebus with his wife and with his two loaded donkeys. ⌊Today⌋ Jebus ⌊is known as⌋ Jerusalem.
