15:6a “Who did this?” the Philistines demanded.

The Philistines said, “Who did this?”

Then the Philistines asked who had ⌊burned the fields⌋ .

15:6b “It was Samson, the son-in-law of the Timnite,” they were told.

They were told, “Samson, the son-in-law of the man from Timnah did it. He did it
-or-
They were told that it was Samson, the son-in-law of the man from Timnah.

15:6c “For his wife was given to his companion.”

because ⌊the man from Timnah⌋ gave Samson’s wife to his best man.”
-or-
Samson did it because his wife’s father gave her to Samson’s best man.

15:6d So the Philistines went up and burned her and her father to death.

So the Philistines went up ⌊to Timnah⌋ . There they burned both Samson’s wife and her father to death.
-or-
Then the Philistines went ⌊to Timnah⌋ . There they killed Samson’s wife and father-in-law by burning them with fire.
