12:3a When I saw that you would not save me,
When I knew that you would not save me,

I realized that you were not going to rescue me.
12:3b I risked my life and crossed over to the Ammonites,
I risked my own life. I went into battle with the Ammonite people

So put my life at risk. I crossed over ⌊the border⌋ and went to war with the Ammon people.
12:3c and the LORD delivered them into my hand.
and Yahweh helped me defeat them.

With Yahweh’s help, we (excl.) were able to win the battle/war with them.
12:3d Why then have you come today to fight against me?”
So why did you (plur.) come up here now to fight against me?”

So then, there is no reason for you to come and attack me today.”
