6:3a In the first year of King Cyrus,

6:3b he issued a decree concerning the house of God in Jerusalem:

6:3c Let the house be rebuilt as a place for offering sacrifices,

The temple must/should be rebuilt as a place to give sacrifices.

⌊He said,⌋ ‘I authorize people to build again the house of God so they/people can bring/offer gifts ⌊to God⌋ there.

6:3d and let its foundations be firmly laid.

English Standard Version: and let its foundations be retained

It must/should be built on its original foundation.

6:3e It is to be sixty cubits high and sixty cubits wide,

The height must/should be 90 feet and the width must/should be 90 feet. ⌊ ⌋
