5:7a There are those who turn justice into wormwood

Some of you (plur.) are people who turn what is fair into what is unfair.

You (plur.) ⌊Israelites⌋ make truth into bitter/evil/unfair lies!

5:7b and cast righteousness to the ground.

And some of you (plur.) hate/ignore/despise what is right.
-or-
You (plur.) ⌊Israelites⌋ do evil/wrong ⌊instead of doing right⌋ !

5:7a–b (combined)

You (plur.) people distort what is fair/right and cause ⌊people to think that⌋ it is something that is very bitter. Also you treat good things as though they are evil.
