9:12a “That is a lie!” they said.

The other officers said to him, “That is false!

9:12c So Jehu answered, “He talked to me about this and that,

Jehu said, “⌊I will tell you⌋ exactly what the young prophet told me.

Jehu finally said, “These are his very/exact words:

9:12d and he said, ‘This is what the LORD says: I anoint you king over Israel.’”

Yahweh says, ‘I am anointing you to be the king of Israel.’”
