7:6a For the Lord had caused the Arameans to hear the sound

Yahweh had made the Aramean ⌊men⌋ hear the sounds

7:6b of chariots, horses, and a great army,

of chariots and horses and a large army.

7:6c so that they said to one another,

They then said to each other,

7:6d “Look, the king of Israel must have hired the kings of the Hittites and Egyptians

7:6e to attack us.”
