6:27a He answered,

The king replied ⌊to her⌋ ,

The king answered ⌊the woman⌋ ,

The king told the woman that

6:27b “If the LORD does not help you, where can I find help for you?

“If Yahweh does not help you, (sing.) how can I help you?

“Only Yahweh can help you. I cannot do so.

he had no way to help her. Only Yahweh was able to help her.

6:27c From the threshing floor or the winepress?”

⌊I have neither wheat⌋ from the threshing floor ⌊nor wine⌋ from the winepress ⌊to give to you⌋ .”

-or-

⌊Look,⌋ there is no grain at the threshing floor and no wine in the winepress ⌊to give you⌋ .”

-or-

He himself could not get any grain or wine for her.
