6:24a Some time later, Ben-hadad king of Aram assembled his entire army

Some time went by. Aram’s king Ben-Hadad gathered his whole army together.

⌊But⌋ some time after this, Ben-Hadad the king of Syria assembled all his soldiers.

6:24b and marched up to besiege Samaria.

They marched to ⌊the city of⌋ Samaria and camped all around it ⌊to force it to surrender⌋ .

They went out to attack Samaria ⌊city⌋ . ⌊When they got there,⌋ they surrounded/encircled the city ⌊in order to capture it⌋ .
