6:1a Now the sons of the prophets said to Elisha,

Then the group of prophets said to Elisha,

The community of prophets ⌊came⌋ to speak with Elisha. They said to him,

⌊One day,⌋ some members of the community of prophets told Elisha that

6:1b “Please take note that the place where we meet with you is too small for us.

“Look, the place where we (excl.) meet with you (sing.) is too small for us (incl.) ⌊all⌋ .

“As you (sing.) can see, our (incl.) meeting place/room is not ⌊good/suitable⌋ for us. It is too small.

-or-

the place where they used to meet with him did not have enough room/space for them ⌊all⌋ .
