Section 4:8-37

Elisha blessed a wealthy woman |

4:8a One day Elisha went to Shunem,

One day Elisha visited ⌊the town of⌋ Shunem.

-or-

Another time Elisha happened to pass through Shunem ⌊town⌋ .

4:8b and a prominent woman who lived there

A wealthy woman lived there.

-or-

A rich woman living ⌊with her husband⌋ in that town

4:8c persuaded him to have a meal.

She encouraged/pressed him to have a meal ⌊in her home⌋ .

invited Elisha ⌊to her home⌋ to eat some food.

4:8b-c (reordered)

He was invited for a meal by a wealthy woman who lived in the town.

4:8d So whenever he would pass by,

So, every time Elisha passed by,

After that, each time Elisha traveled through Shunem,

4:8e he would stop there to eat.

he stopped in her home to eat a meal.

he went to her house for a meal.
