4:20a After the servant had picked him up
The servant picked the child up

So the servant took the boy into his arms.
4:20b and carried him to his mother,
and carried him ⌊back home⌋ to his mother.

He brought/took him to his mother,
4:20c the boy sat on her lap until noon,
The child sat on her knees/lap until noon.
-or-
and she held him on her lap. About the middle of the day
4:20d and then he died.
Then he died.

the boy died.
