21:24a But the people of the land killed all those

Then the people of the land killed all those

But the people of Judah attacked and destroyed

21:24b who had conspired against King Amon,

who had taken part in the plot against King Amon.

everyone who had done this.

21:24c and they made his son Josiah king in his place.

Then they made Amon’s son Josiah king in place of his father.

They caused Amon’s son Josiah to succeed/follow him as king ⌊of Judah⌋ .
