21:20a And he did evil in the sight of the LORD,

Amon did things that were evil in the sight of Yahweh.

Amon displeased Yahweh by doing wrong/evil.

21:20b as his father Manasseh had done.

He acted in the same way as his father Manasseh had done.

His father Manasseh had done this too.
