18:31a Do not listen to Hezekiah,

The Rabshakeh said/continued,⌋ “Do not pay any attention to what Hezekiah says.

“Ignore the words that Hezekiah has said.

18:31b for this is what the king of Assyria says:

For/Because this is what the king of Assyria says:

-or-

Listen to⌋ what the king of Assyria is telling you.

18:31c Make peace with me and come out to me.

Send me a token of your submission and surrender to me. (NET Bible)

-or-

You should come out and surrender to him.

18:31d Then every one of you will eat from his own vine and his own fig tree,

Then each of you may ⌊continue⌋ eating ⌊the fruit from⌋ your/his own vine and your/his own fig tree.

-or-

Then each of you will ⌊be able to⌋ eat grapes from your vines and figs from your trees.

18:31e and drink water from his own cistern,

You may continue drinking water from your own water storage place.

-or-

Each of you will be able to⌋ drink water from your own wells.
