15:25a Then his officer, Pekah son of Remaliah, conspired against him

Pekah son of Remaliah, one of Pekahiah’s important/top officers, plotted against him.

-or-

But one of Pekahiah’s military officers made secret plans to kill him. This officer was Pekah son of Remaliah.

15:25b along with Argob, Arieh, and fifty men of Gilead.

Pekah called/led fifty men ⌊from the land⌋ of Gilead to go with him.

-or-

Fifty men ⌊from the region⌋ of Gilead helped Pekah/him.

15:25c And at the citadel of the king’s palace in Samaria,

In the fortified part of the king’s house at Samaria

-or-

In the protected room of the palace in Samaria

15:25d Pekah struck down and killed Pekahiah

Pekah ⌊went and⌋ murdered Pekahiah, as well as Argob and Arieh.

-or-

he/they attacked and killed ⌊King⌋ Pekahiah, and Argob and Arieh,

15:25e and reigned in his place.

After Pekah had murdered Pekahiah, he became king in his place.

-or-

Having killed Pekahiah, Pekah became the next king.
