Section 10:1-36
Jehu killed the descendants of Ahab and the worshipers of Baal
10:1a Now Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria.
In ⌊the city of⌋ Samaria there were/lived seventy young men from ⌊King⌋ Ahab’s family.

Seventy sons ⌊and grandsons⌋ of King Ahab were living in Samaria ⌊city⌋ .
10:1b So Jehu wrote letters and sent them to Samaria
So Jehu wrote some letters and sent them to Samaria.

So Jehu wrote a letter and had copies of it taken/carried to Samaria.
10:1c to the officials of Jezreel, to the elders, and to the guardians of the sons of Ahab,
to the rulers of the city, to the leading citizens, and to the guardians of Ahab’s descendants. (Good News Translation)
⌊The letters were⌋ for the rulers of the city, the elders/leaders, and also for the guardians/caretakers whom Ahab ⌊had appointed⌋ for his sons/descendants.

⌊The letter was given⌋ to the leaders and the elders of the city and to those who were taking care of Ahab’s descendants.
