8:12 At that time Solomon offered burnt offerings to the LORD on the altar of the LORD he had built in front of the portico.

Then Solomon made burnt offerings to Yahweh on the altar of Yahweh which he built in front of the temple porch.

Solomon built a platform for sacrificing animals to Yahweh in front of the temple. On it he killed animals as completely burned sacrifices to Yahweh.
