7:13a If I close the sky so there is no rain,

⌊One day⌋ I may shut the sky and prevent it from raining.

⌊The day might come when⌋ I close the clouds shut, so that it can no longer rain.

7:13b or if I command the locust to devour the land,

Or ⌊I may⌋ cause grasshoppers to eat ⌊all the plants/crops in⌋ the land.
-or-
Or ⌊I might⌋ order insects to consume the food in the land.

7:13c or if I send a plague among My people,

Or ⌊I may cause⌋ an epidemic to spread among my people.

Or ⌊I might⌋ send a great sickness to infect my people.
