34:25a because they have forsaken Me

I will do this because they have abandoned me
-or-
I will do this because the people of Israel and Judah have rejected me.

34:25b and burned incense to other gods,

and have burnt incense to other gods.
-or-
They have burned sweet-smelling spices to idols.

34:25c that they might provoke Me to anger with all the works of their hands.

I am angry because of all the bad things they have made.
-or-
They have made me angry by all the ⌊statues of gods⌋ they have made.

34:25d My wrath will be poured out upon this place

I will let my anger come on this place
-or-
I will punish Jerusalem in my anger.

34:25e and will not be quenched.’

and nothing will be able to stop it.’

⌊My anger will be like a fire⌋ that nobody can put out.
