34:1a Josiah was eight years old when he became king,

Josiah’s age was eight when he became king.

Josiah became king when he was eight (8) years old.

34:1b and he reigned in Jerusalem thirty-one years.

Then for thirty-one years he ruled as king in Jerusalem.
