28:6a For in one day Pekah son of Remaliah killed 120,000 valiant men in Judah.

In one day the army of Pekah son of Remaliah killed one hundred twenty thousand soldiers from Judah.

Pekah the son of Remaliah, ⌊the king of Israel, and his soldiers⌋ killed a hundred and twenty thousand (120,000) soldiers of Judah in one day.

28:6b This happened because they had forsaken the LORD, the God of their fathers.

That happened because Judah had abandoned Yahweh, the God of their ancestors.
