27:2a And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD,

He did things that pleased Yahweh

King Jotham did good things that Yahweh thought were right.

27:2b just as his father Uzziah had done.

in the same way his father Uzziah had done.

He did the same good things that his father King Uzziah had done.

27:2c In addition, he did not enter the temple of the LORD.

He did not ⌊sin by⌋ entering the temple of Yahweh as his father had done.

But he did not ⌊sin as his father did⌋. His father went into the house of Yahweh ⌊and burned incense there⌋. ⌊Only priests were allowed to do that.⌋

27:2d But the people still behaved corruptly.

But the people of Judah continued to do wrong things.

However, the people of Judah did not stop sinning.
