24:25a And when the Arameans had withdrawn,

When the Syrians went away

24:25b they left Joash severely wounded.

24:25c His own servants conspired against him

⌊Then⌋ his officials decided to kill him

24:25d for shedding the blood of the son of Jehoiada the priest,
