24:11a Whenever the chest was brought by the Levites to the king’s overseers

Every time the Levites took the box to the king’s officials

⌊Each day⌋ the Levites took the box to the officers of the king.

24:11b and they saw that there was a large amount of money,

they saw that it was full of money.

⌊And each day⌋ the officers saw that there was a lot of money in it.

24:11c the royal scribe and the officer of the high priest

Then the king’s secretary and the high priest’s officer

The king’s overseer and the envoy/representative of the leader of the sacrificers

24:11d would come and empty the chest and carry it back to its place.

would come and take the money and put the box back in its place.

regularly came and took the money from the box and returned it to its place.

24:11e They did this daily and gathered the money in abundance.

They did this frequently and collected a large amount of money.

They did this day after day, and they gathered a large sum of money.
