16:2a So Asa withdrew the silver and gold

So Asa took the silver and gold

So King Asa had his officials collect silver and gold

16:2b from the treasuries of the house of the LORD and the royal palace,

that was in the storerooms of Yahweh’s temple and in his own palace.

16:2c and he sent it with this message to Ben-hadad king of Aram,

He sent it to Ben-hadad king of Aram,

16:2d who was ruling in Damascus:
